Appointments
Appointments can be made up to 4 weeks in advance.
Patients will be offered the choice of an appointment with the doctor or nurse.
Please try to avoid ringing the surgery for routine appointments the day after a bank holiday.
Please remember to cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend. We can then offer that appointment to someone else. We have sometimes more than 150 patients who do not attend for an appointment in any one month. This is unfair to other patients requiring to see a doctor or nurse. Because of this if you do not attend you will receive a letter asking you why. If you do not attend more than three times without letting us know, we may ask you to leave the surgery.
Telephone advice. If you want to speak to a doctor or nurse on the telephone, ask the receptionist for a telephone appointment, and the team will ring you back after morning surgery. We offer this service up to 1:00 p.m. only.
If your visit is not an emergency you wish to see your usual doctor by making a routine appointment. It is the doctor’s decision whether a problem merits a home visit.
Home visits
If you need a doctor to visit you at home please inform the reception staff as soon as possible during the morning. The doctor will then call you back prior to visiting you to ascertain the problem.
