Patient Reference Group to be set up

Douglas Grove needs you !!

The Surgery is putting together a new Patient Reference Group.  The Reference Group will help us move forward in challenging changing times. It will encourage patients to give their views through Surveys and Meetings about how the Practice is doing.  We would like to ask the opinions of as many patients as possible.

If you would like to be involved in the occassional survey please contact Michelle - Practice Manager by email or telephone 

We are also promoting Greenfields Housing and the Humber Road Estate Community Initiative and their "Can you Dig it "campaign for a lovely communal garden at the rear of Douglas Grove Surgery.

COMMUNAL GARDEN FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE HUMBER ROAD ESTATE

Dear Patients
Greenfields housing  have been shortlisted for the Jubilee People’s Millions for this worthwhile project in Witham, and need your phone vote on Tuesday 28 June, there will be TV footage that evening on Anglia News – do please watch and vote. It is for a communal garden on the Humber Road Estate, for residents to sit and enjoy.  The children of the area will also have the opprotunity to design and create their very own piece of the garden. A very exciting project for us all to take part in.
This grant is for the benefit of local residents. In the meantime please share this e-shot with as many of your contacts to help us win. The phone number will be published in the Daily Mirror that morning (28 June) but will also be published on our website, and we will email you again with the phone number on the day. You will be able to vote from 9am until midnight and up to ten times per phone number at a cost of 10p per call for BT and other systems will cost more.

Our new building

Our new building is now totally up and running. We will be having a launch on the 29th September 2010 to promote the building and services to local dignitaries and press. We hope to be able to now offer more services from the premises which will promote the practice and benefit the local community and patients. We welcome new patients and hope then to be able to recruit another doctor and nurse.
